the easter table

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above.

More at Throeners

For some reason, I love this shot of my grandma. To me, it captures her essence.

Q.

For some reason, I've always been drawn to Quentin Thomas. Never met the guy and have only seen him when he's running around a basketball court. Even so, he's been my favorite North Carolina Basketball player. It's been a sweet story to see him rise to the occasion.

U2 3D

For folks in the Triangle, I highly recommend seeing U2 3D at the Raleigh IMAX. I was pretty skeptical, but after about 30 seconds I was hooked. My toes were tapping, my head was jammin', and I had to stop myself from singing out loud.

The show, filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, gives a glimpse into the live performance that few get to see. My favorite shots were those above Larry Mullins Jr's drum kit. But the close encounters with the band were awesome. And the song Love & Peace is still one of my favorites from both the live and the 3D shows.

It'll bring back memories for those who've seen a Vertigo Tour show and will give those who haven't a good glimpse of the power of U2.
