spider lily
I got a little carried away with the photos, but I find spider lilies absolutely beautiful. They are a striking flower that emerges in the fall as everything else is starting to fade away. And when they do emerge, it's an absolute shock. You've forgotten they're coming and then one day you round the corner, as I did, and are amazed by the brilliance of color waiting for you.

Did you get carried away like cherry blossoms in Seattle carried away? If so, HA! I say.

No, you're right, I definitely didn't get as carried away like the Seattle cherry blossoms!... Good memory though. :)

Those are beautiful. Are they at 128 North St or somewhere else in town?

They're at 128 behind the huge sawgrass. We were worried that with all our digging and cleaning up that we ruined them (since we didn't know where they were). So I was so excited to see them pop up!
