room with a view
Early on in our trip, I began taking photos of some of the spectacular views as seen from our room for the evening. As you'll see, some of the best views were from campgrounds!

Questions... Did you rent a car? Did you haul camping gear everywhere you traveled -- and did you cart all your reading material everywhere as well? How long did you stay at Swiss L'Abri?

Good questions!
1. Yes, we rented a car.
2. We did haul the camping gear. All of our camping stuff fit into a large suitcase and so when we weren't camping we just left it in the trunk.
3. We did cart the reading material around.
4. We stopped in one early evening and talked to a worker for a while, went to a local B&B and then went to a lecture and talked to some folks the next morning. There wasn't any room for us to sleep or eat, so we moved on to Berner Oberland that afternoon.
It really wasn't that big of a deal carrying extra things because we could just leave the stuff we weren't using in the car when we were at our hotels and B&Bs. Plus our camping gear is really compact!
