what's funny about that is that i originally had "cold" day and decided that 45 degrees didn't warrant "cold", thus replaced it with "chilly". :)

Chilly is the perfect word for 45 degree weather. That's the kind of temp we're having today... And when I removed my coat I realized that even thought it's not cold, it's not warm either.
